3 Things You Need to Let Go Of

You're a freedom seeker.

An authentic adventurer.

And let me tell you - the sky is most definitely NOT the limit.

You're on a mighty mission, destined for greatness - and I want to see you RADIATE. Let's, just for a moment, tap in a little deeper. You've mapped out your year - the intentions are set, goals have been brainstormed, visions are sprawled across the walls, and most importantly, you know exactly how you want to FEEL. (You're on the right track.)

Then comes in the resistance. The tug that pulls you just a couple steps back. It's trippin' you up and you're not sure where to go, how to deal. Why do I feel this way? How do I get past it?

Let's sink into that right now, here, you, me, together. Release what's no longer serving you so that you can rock your best year like you KNOW you can. (Shine, baby, shine!)

THREE THINGS TO LET GO OF, RIGHT NOW:

1. The Fear of Failure. I read a beautiful quote the other day that went a little something like this, "If you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something." Life isn't perfect, it was never meant to be perfect, and it will never be perfect. Perfection is a running target that you'll never hit - isn't that such a... relief? All you need to do is keep going, hold your curiosity close, feel the fear and take action anyway, create, innovate, be generous, do something that's SO out of your element that you surprise yourself, FEEL the exhilaration. Make glorious, tremendous, impossibly messy mistakes. Make them now, tomorrow, the day after that, this year, and the next. (Ahhh, the possibility!)

2. The Fear of Being Judged. Think back to a time where - SMACK! - you were hit with an idea/ epiphany/ realization/ small thought that could be totally life-changing. You then wondered, "But - what will everyone think? Of (insert brilliant idea here)? Of me?" Try this on for size: when the inspiration strikes and this pesky thought barges through King Kong style, visualize your desires coming to life. Maybe you're launching a business/ taking a course/ makin' profound waves in your soul growth, whatever it is, imagine it. What does your dream look like? Where are you? What do you look like? Who's by your side? How do you feel? Visualize, visualize, visualize. Now imagine everyone else saying, "Wow! How did you do it? This/ you/ what you did is incredible/ beautiful/ ground-breaking/ totally rad."

Because they will.

3. The Fear of Not Measuring Up. Chances are if you're here, reading these words, you've lived through drama, heartbreak, struggle, and hardship. You have a story to tell and a message to share - and that message might look similar to someone else's. Here's what you have that they don't: You. You will never be the person next to you, down the street, or on the other side of the screen. What you do have is the ability to tap into the unique ability of what makes you shine and how you show up in the world. Revel in that. (The world needs it.) What a privilege it is to be ourselves.

Maybe some (or all) of these are popping up for you right now, and without a doubt, they will pop up in the future. (Chew on this: It's not about eradicating those voices in your head, it's learning the tools to move despite them.) When the fear and the doubt creep in and make themselves known, take a big, heart-expanding breath. Inhale, exhale, repeat. The power of breath, transformational-like-whoa. Sink into it. Aaaand, release.

Oh yeah, do you feel that? You got this.

LET'S CHAT: What did you takeaway most from this post? What one thing will you do today to take one step forward towards reaching your goals? (Remember - baby steps = quantum leaps.)
